Hate to say it bud but Tin Tin is a stand up guy. I personally saw the helmet before you bought it and the visor and everything was perfect. I'm sorry you broke your new helmet but its no reason to bad mouth other people. Shit happens.

Looks to me like the visor was attached in his picture in the previous post. Are you sure you didn't just break it and need to blame someone other than yourself to justify the $220 you spent? I Agree with Hines on this one.

The visor was attached fine when i picked it up, however i did notice a bit of a jiggle but im pretty sure thats standard. when i went home to throw the clear visor on i unscrewed the visor attachment bits more than carefully enough and when it was fully unscrewed it just fell in, you guys cant tell me thats standard for these helmets. I already told him i want nothing from him this was to warn other people. i dont understand how you could tell if the nut was attached properly to the helmet from a picture but thanks for that input buddy. There is clear damage around the visor attaching area that i wasnt even told about. A stand up guy wouldn't have repeatadly told me it was brand new only to find when i got home thats not the case. It didnt cross my mind initially to bad mouth him, and frankly i dont even think i did. i just quoted him and told everyone the helmet i received was broken, only reason i posted this was because he was being a little shit after the fact. "you can go make a post or take it up with the admins but this is the last youre hearing from me" he litterally asked me to continue it here, if we could've resolved it or if he'd convinced me it was possibly my fault i would've dropped it.

No one's taking anything up with anyone here. You've said your part & Tins welcome to add his own, but as soon as It gets ugly or the trolls come out its lockdown time.
I will add that I've done deals with tin recently & in the past and he's always been straightforward and gear was as he said. Those first few generations of pred were hit or miss when it came to the visor system.. You're talking about the small brass nut that the bigger plastic/stainless dial screws into, ya farrouh? They were a huge issue in the first two runs..if you screwed the dial in too far, it would bite into the plastic and come out of the helmet with the visor dial..it's entirely possible you pulled it out yourself for the very first time! Not calling sides bud... Just sayin
There's always a fair bit of buyer beware involved with buying anything, but especially a used helmet. Sucks that it's gone down the way it has, but life always kicks someone sometime

Again, I apologize that you feel taken advantage of. As I said, I posted up all of our messages for the world to see.
I still have the pictures showing perfect visor fitment and a video showing the visor working perfectly still posted in the FS thread if anyone doubts the condition of the helmet. I do try my best to avoid these situations by giving full disclosure about what I'm selling.

Curious.
How do we as a website ensure total transparency and lack of favouritism, and yet at the same time edit or remove posts?
This is the danger of a website like this... I'm open to suggestions.

We all have the option to remove our own posts. I mean the last olf had several years worth of feedback and reputation among its members... But it's been a while & a good chunk of those folks have moved on.
On similar boards, we each manages our own unique feedback thread in a subforum. That way, if you both had a good deal go down, you asked each other to post a good word, or even a +1 in the thread. then unlike the "list" we used on old olf,, you could see the number of people who bought for a seller, how it went down, etc, plus count the number of unique postings. Plus if there was an issue, and the person didn't address/attempt to resolve the matter, it was a pretty big warning sign.
I like both these guys, and I think that without choosing sides I can see validity to both. The saving grace is that the visor issue doesn't make the helmet any less safe now than before. Some googlegfu can probably find an adhesive that's safe to use around eps foam, and with some care & patience the visor can be reattached. Just be upfront about it if you try and resell it and people will respect the care you put into the refurb!

Exactly the visor isnt a huge issue and i can still attach it if i play around with the nut and screw, I was never that mad about the visor i just didnt like how it was handled, i wouldnt make a post like this otherwise because theres nothing i could gain from it, but yknow it didnt go well but its seemingly an isolated event. i feel whoever was going to make a purchase will read the whole thread not just the title, and see that he's like 99% legit, but you should make sure to inspect you shit. all i'm hoping to get from this thread, you dont need to start ranking the guy but i do like that idea, have a whitelist/blacklist on the page with user feedback
