So today I added a mod to my lathe. I added a removable stepper motor that can control lathe rotation so I can do stuff like this! www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154220910310137&set=a.10154220908375137.1073741831.542105136&type=3&theaterThe CAD/CAM file was made so that the material size was the total surface of the wheel. Any pattern can be placed over the material and that will be the pattern cut into the wheel. This probably isnt how most CNC lathes are programmed but my CNC controller is set up for and XYZ moment not a rotating axes like the lathe. Ill post more pictures as I mess with it some more. I should also probably do a thread on my machine its self so you guys can see what Im working with. Any questions feel free to ask.

Thats super cool. Based on riding harfangs, curved grooves make a huge difference. These will probably be killer. Only suggestion would be wider grooves, seems to fight hydroplaning a bit better and give you a bit more bite...
