Hey guys, I figured seeing as Im the Mod for this section I figured I would get this section rolling. Last summer I built my self a new classic luge for King of the Mountain. Here are some pics of the build. I won't go into huge detail because this site is only a temp site and it may get deleted. If you have any questions about the build please leave them below. It all started here. I wanted a new version of my Super Bee but his time it will have a single drop to sit my fat ass in. I then laid out all my measurements and sanded away. I realized that because I am making a single drop that I will have to wedge and dewedge the front and back to counter the angle Here is a good clip of the curves on this bitch as well as the wedging Dat Butt Cave !!! Prepping to press using the Roarockit T.A.P. system, I use this for most of my prototyping BOOM! In the bag and all pressed up! had to do some external clamping to get her tight as a tiger She pressed perfectly ! All cut out including "love handles" (patent Pending;) Again Dat Butt Cave I used a yoga mat for comfort and grip. Next time I wont put it on the drop, my ass kept sticking to it causing some high speed HOLY FUCK moments All in all this was a super fun project and now i have a new butt board and YOU DON'T!!!!!! NEXT TIME i will add some flairs over the wheels for a bit more clearance although I have not and probably never will get wheel bite on this set up.

What pressing process do you use for your production runs? And do you make all your molds by hand or just the prototype molds?

Production runs are hydraulic presses with CNC cut molds. Every once and a while I like to build proto's by hand using this system. Its way cheeper and quicker to produce a quick one sided mold out of foam and when prototyping and it helps you work out the kinks in design before you spend the big bucks.

Cool do you have your own CNC? I'm assuming you don't use that tiny one there at Roarockit. Do you use CNC wheel wells? What do you use for CAD and CAM? If I'm asking to many question just tell me to fuck off I'm just trying to get my whole system worked out.

Hey Hines. We have all our production boards produced locally within Ontario. They have a massive CNC. All our production boards and molds are CNC'd including wheel wells (Which can be tricky) . I design in Rhino.
